The Kenya Times ~ Trending, Breaking News and Videos DOJ Drops Maxwell Transcripts and Epstein Files —300 Pages of Secrets Revealed The Justice Department on Friday released transcripts and audio files of two days of interviews with Ghislaine Maxwell, conducted last month at her federal prison. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche led the sessions, which covered Maxwell’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and her knowledge of figures linked to him. Officials also provided the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee with an initial set of records tied to Epstein. The files, described by the panel as numbering in the thousands of pages, included more than 300 pages from Maxwell’s interviews. Govt Pathologist Reveals What Killed Chiloba

Government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor has revealed how LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich alias Chiloba met his death.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, January 11 after carrying out a postmortem on Chiloba’s body, Dr Oduor revealed that the late model was choked to death.

“We carried out an autopsy on the body of Edwin Kiprotich and we found that he died from choking as a result of his nose and mouth is sealed.

“He could not breathe and died shortly after. The first thing we found was that his mouth and nose was stuffed with jeans and trousers. There was also a sock in his mouth,” Dr Oduor said.

The government pathologist however dispelled rumors that Chiloba’s eyes were gouged out adding that samples are being analyzed to find out whether the deceased was drugged before he was killed.

“We did not find any injuries in his body, and we are still investigating if he was given drugs so that he could not resist his abductors,” the government pathologist added.

The 'Kingdom of the Planet of Apes' actor will be in Kenya to lead a film and theatre masterclass organised by YORA. Mali Investigators See Breakthrough in Murder Mystery

Investigations into a string of beheadings in southern Mali that have shocked the Sahel nation have scored a breakthrough, judicial and police sources said on Monday. Ten people in the cotton-growing town of Fana have been decapitated since 2018, sparking fears of ritual killings. “We have arrested the main suspect,” local prosecutor Boubacar Moussa Diarra told AFP by phone. He is a 42-year-old unemployed Malian man with no fixed address, he said. “The details he gave of the crimes correspond to the nature of the murders,” he said. Google staff protest company’s $1.2b contract with Israel

Dozens of Google employees in New York and California held demonstrations and sit-in protests on Tuesday (April 16) to voice their objections against the company's billion-dollar contract with Israel. Google staff were demanding that their company drop its $1.2-billion multi-year project named Project Nimbus which provides cloud and AI services to Israel's government and defence ministry. Google shares the contract with Amazon, another tech company. Tuesday's protests were organised by a group called No Tech for Apartheid, which alleges that Project Nimbus is aiding Israel in its military operations in Gaza. On the X platform late Tuesday, the group said Google had ordered the arrest of several workers who staged sit-ins at Google offices.
